Dominating on and off the field, Desmond Bishop not only tackles rivalry opponents but he also tackles obstacles in the community with seemingly infinite energy.
The Desmond Bishop Fitness for Youth Foundation (DBFY) is a non-profit organization who’s focus is to provide assistance to children and adults that are afflicted by anxiety disorders. Founder and current starting LB for the Green Bay Packers , Desmond Bishop, has experienced the effects of having a loved one affected by an anxiety disorder, his mother.
Anxiety is a normal part of life. It can even be useful, it can alert us to danger. However, for some people, anxiety is a persistent problem that interferes with daily activities such as work, school or sleep. This type of anxiety can disrupt relationships and enjoyment of life, and over time it can lead to health concerns and other problems. For this reason Desmond, has taken a vow to fight against this disorder and help bring joy to those in need.
The weekend will commence on Friday, July 6, 2012, with a Family Bowl Night at Stars Recreation in Vacaville, CA, and on Saturday, July 7, 2012, a full day of football drills, healthy eating tips, and excitement for the whole family awaits at the 5th Annual Youth Football Camp.
The weekend will feature opportunities to with some of today’s biggest athletes and celebrities. The events will feature prizes, contests, raffles, as well a silent auction, all proceeds will benefit the Desmond Bishop Fitness For Youth Foundation.
