After being released by the Green Bay Packers earlier this month, seven year veteran Desmond Bishop became a pretty desired man.
The talented linebacker missed the entire 2012 season with a severe right hamstring injury and after he and the Packers were unable to agree on a contract, the team released him when they were unable to find a willing trade partner.
A handful of teams were deemed as favorites to sign Bishop but it appears the former Cal Bear has narrowed his choices down to three teams.
Bishop, who had 90 solo tackles and 115 overall along with 5 sacks in 2011 says his goal is to be named the 2013 Defensive Player of the Year so whatever team does snag the linebacker, they should get a motivated talent.
Bishop would be projected to be a middle linebacker in both the Vikings and Giants 4-3 defenses while he’d most likely be a inside linebacker for the Chiefs
